Collapsing New People: A Bar for the Idle Minded

Goleb @ Lost Property

Night #1

Thursday 15 May

Doors: 21h00

Lost Property

De Leeuw van Vlaanderenstraat 33, Amsterdam

With the incredibly sad news that Lost Property will be coming to an end with their eviction at the beginning of June, Goleb will be hosting a series of nights at Lost Property to give the space a warm and loving send off. There will be music, food, videos, good vibes, live performances, Butcher’s Tears beer, and Goleb’s own infamous and deliciously cheap beer. We would also like to take a moment to thank the local council for having their fingers on the pulse of the developing art scene in Amsterdam New-West ā€“ fuck the Bookstore, Amsterdam needs a soul, Lost Property forever!

Hosted by Janine Armin + Taf Hassam

Records and Songs with Jessica Tucker / Fetter!

Washington-born, Amsterdam-based musician and producer and staple of the underground music scene, Jessica Tucker.

Screening: Rock My Religion by Dan Graham (1982ā€“1984)

Rock My Religion is a video essay populated by punk and rock performers (Patti Smith, Jim Morrison, Black Flag and Glenn Branca) and historical figures (including Ann Lee, founder of the Shakers). This coming together of singing and shouting voices, of jarring sounds and text overlaid onto shaky, gritty images, proposes a historical genealogy of rock music and an ambitious thesis on the origins of America.
