After a break of 7 months Moving Image Club will begin again with a presentation by PAULA ALBUQUERQUE. Paula is an academic and visual artist working in video. In 2016 she completed her PhD in artistic research at the UVA and Gerrit Rietveld Academie under the title The Webcam as an Emerging Cinematic Medium.

This is the first of 7 presentations, which will take place at Project Goleb, Amsterdam over the coming months:

Moving Image Club

Each discussion will be hosted by artist Ruth Legg and include an invited guest from the visual arts who will be asked to present a number of moving image clips (e.g. artist’s videos, hollywood movies, tv programmes, music videos, youtube clips, etc.) that are of particular interest for or influence on them. With an emphasis on an informal discussion, this is an opportunity to explore ideas around the moving image without the pressure to draw conclusions.
